#13 Directing with Tabitha Arthur

#13 Directing with Tabitha Arthur

The Guest

Tabitha Arthur is creatively restless. She constantly seeks out fresh challenges across her chosen fields of directing, photography, and graphic design. She's recently launched a graphic design mentorship initiative in marketing design for theatre, and she finds immense satisfaction in coaching talent - whether in design, in front of the stills camera or for performance.  She has a very patient and lovely husband, motion graphics artist Chris Williamson.

Tabitha's aspiration is to be fearless and she greatly admires those who are. With a long-held weakness for saying "yes" to too many exciting creative opportunities at once, she's getting stronger at practicing patience and realising she doesn't have to say "yes" to everything.

The Chat

Tabitha and I have tried to work together a couple of times and it still hasn't worked, so it was so great to be able to sit down and chat with her about all things creative. We really got into talking about how to look after yourself and keep your energy up while also staying a leader, and I'm going to be revisiting this one after Fringe to remind myself of what I should be doing for myself.
